Growing through Relating
Growing through Relating
When the Church meets on Sundays it’s always frustrating not to have enough time to interact with people at a deeper level; there are just too many people to see. That’s why Home Groups are so good – fewer people and more time.
In the more relaxed and intimate atmosphere of a Home the group meets weekly to talk about the truths in the Bible and how we can apply its teaching to our daily lives. Being a small group it’s much easier to be open and interact with others, especially for those who are more timid. Everyone is encouraged to express their questions, doubts, or need for further clarification and to give their point of view without fear of being criticized.
Consequently, in these groups friendships are made and strengthened as we grow together as brothers and sisters in mutual support and care, and fervent prayer.
At the moment we are reflecting on the theme, “The God of the Bible” as there are so many weird ideas about God around these days. It’s good to focus on what God says about Himself, and see how He interacted with people in Bible times.
Mutual care and encouragement are the focus of the groups so come along and enjoy the warm, relaxed fellowship of a group in Logan Lea, Underwood, Regents Park, Hillcrest, or Heritage Park .
