This morning Pr André will preach from Exodus 20:7, Ex 3:13-14 and Phil 2:9-11 on the theme, “What’s in a name?” When the name of someone you know well is mentioned, it invokes a host of memories, feelings and images, right? Obviously a name is more than letters on paper or a few spoken sounds. How much more so when it’s God’s name. The third commandment, then, is much more than just a prohibition to not use God’s Name willy-nilly. Actually it means lots of positive action from us and we’ll look at that this Sunday.
