What we do

OUR VISION

“To be a people for God’s Glory, and to proclaim that Glory among the nations.”

This vision inspires BPPC to spiritual and life transformation that will impact the world around us.

OUR MISSION

“To proclaim Christ! To alert everyone we meet, and teach everyone we can, all that we know about him, so that, if possible, we may bring every man up to his full maturity in Christ.”

This mission, inspired in the Great Commission of Matthew 28:18-20, gives us direction in the activities we embrace.

Meeting for Worship

Every Sunday

9:30 am and 6 pm,  at 276 Waller Road, Heritage Park, Queensland.

At BPPC you can be absolutely sure of one thing – we’ll be glad you joined us to worship Jesus. Here you’ll find people from all walks of life journeying together with the Lord. We are passionate about sharing the love of Christ because we know that his love is the only hope for individuals and communities to be transformed.

We recognize that coming to church could be an intimidating experience so bear with us while we share a couple of pointers to help you feel at home.

What Are the Worship Services Like?

We like to call our worship services “worship experiences”, because in them we are experiencing God together.  These normally include singing, praying along with the Pastor or a church member, and a down-to-earth message from God’s Word for daily living.  Normally, our Pastor – André Schwartz – gives the messages, but our assistant and other able preachers share as well.

The Worship experience begin at 9:30 am and is generally about 75 minutes duration. You can always count on each service starting on time.

What’s Expected of Me?

We just want you to relax! Make yourself at home, and feel free to participate as much or as little as you feel comfortable with.  No matter where you are on your spiritual journey you’ll find that we are glad you’re here, and we hope that there is some part of our experience that you can connect with regularly.  As you enter, make yourself known to a greeter who will give you all the initial guidance you need.  And after the service please join us for a cuppa’ and a time of fellowship with each other.

What About My Kids?

If you feel comfortable, we’re more than happy to care for your kids. While adults worship in the meeting room, the children have Sunday School under the guidance of dedicated and qualified youth workers.  We want you to rest assured that your child is having a positive experience, filled by biblical teaching with real life application. For times when infants are a little unsettled during the worship service, you are welcome to comfort them in our cry room located off the back of the meeting room and you will still be able to hear the message.

We look forward to meeting you at the first opportunity.

Home Groups

Why Home Groups?

When the Church meets it’s always frustrating not to have enough time to interact with people at a deeper level; there are just too many people to see. That’s why Home Groups are so good.

The What

In the more relaxed and intimate atmosphere of a Home the group meets weekly to talk about the truths in the Bible and how we can apply its teaching to our daily lives. Being a small group it’s much easier to be open and interact with others, especially for those who are more timid. Everyone is encouraged to express their questions, doubts, or need for further clarification and to give their point of view without fear of being criticized.

At the moment we are reflecting on the theme, “The God of the Bible” as there are so many weird ideas about God around these days. It’s good to focus on what God says about Himself, and see how He interacted with people in Bible times.

Come along

Mutual care and encouragement are the focus of the groups so come along and enjoy the warm, relaxed fellowship. For more details contact Pr André Schwartz, the Home Group coordinator, at 07 3800 4421.

Sunday School

While parents enjoy great Bible teaching  in the Church, their children enjoy a time in God’s word as well, under the guidance of dedicated, mature and qualified teachers.  You see, our goal is to support the family in “teaching the children how to walk God’s way” in this world.

Teaching them to love and worship God is at the core of our Sunday School so most time is dedicated to the Bible Lesson.  Naturally there is prayer, some praise singing, scripture memorization and sheet work to reinforce the lesson.

At the conclusion a sheet is provided for the parents so they can accompany what their children are learning and perhaps, use it for daily family worship.  We look forward to having your children join us and grow with us.

Messy Kidz

BPPC Messy Kidz is a group for pre-school children from 0-5 years of age. Messy Kids offers self-directed, multi-sensory and unstructured play where mothers can observe their children “launching out” on their own initiative.

While children occupy themselves and learn to interact with others (“Give and Take” where the “take” is easy but the “give”, a little more difficult to learn.) the mothers, and some fathers, have the chance to make new friends or chat with one of our friendly volunteers.  This can be a growing experience for everyone.

Vacancies for alternate Mondays are controlled on Facebook at (https://www.facebook.com/groups/309668489227841/) so keep your eyes on what is happening there.

Youth Group

High schoolers meet every Friday night from 7:00 - 9:00 pm. Getting to know and trust one another in a wholesome atmosphere is great preparation for the occasional “Youth Camp” crowned with lots of activity and interesting investigation into Bible truths. A regular evening centred around God's Word includes:

  • prayer
  • games
  • light food

A great feature is the liberty to ask questions that youth often don’t feel free to ask, but want to, and our trained leaders are well able to answer them. Foundations are being laid in the youth group and many can bear witness to the positive impact it has had on their lives.

Our Facebook page is designed for the Youth and will keep them and their parents up-to-date with Youth Group activities.
