A Vehicle for Lucinda

God moves His people in amazing ways to give to Kingdom business.

“God has all the finances we need to do His will, but…  it’s in the pockets of His people.”

Hilux for LucindaOpen Hearts - Open Hands

Praise God that some Christians are open-hearted and open-handed.  A report just in from Lucinda informs us that a family from Peak Hill Uniting Church have offered her a 4 ½ year old Hilux Diesel Dual Cab 4 WD Automatic - essentially new and similar to the one in the picture – with only 26,000 kilometres on the clock. The sale of the Triton, after repairs and registry of the Hilux in East Timor, will go towards paying back the present owners, who aren’t a bit worried about the money.  It’s sale could come to around US$9,000.00, with God’s blessing.

How good is this?

The Hilux has a Red Arc dual battery system / auxiliary battery, electric trailer brakes, ARB high roofed lockable canopy.  The back is fitted out with marine ply / carpet, fridge slide with a “big” Waeco  CF-110 camping fridge/freezer mounted securely, and quality ARB roof rack.  It has a bull bar, towing pack, driving lights etc.

A group of “Welcome” team leaders have donated $5,300.00 to help repair the Triton, so along with other gifts there is a total of $7,850.00 from “Welcome.”

But… where’s the Driver?

The Hilux is still in Peak Hill, NSW, waiting for someone to drive it to Darwin where it can be shipped to East Timor far more cheaply.  So do we have any budding 4x4 drivers - young or older - who would like to serve the Lord by going to Peak Hill and driving this vehicle to Darwin, as their gift to the advance of the Gospel in East Timor? If you are interested, after praying about it, have a chat with Jim Wallace who has more details.

More yet!

A brother from Peak Hill Uniting is sending a Mono pump/motor to Darwin and it seems that the Peak Hill people will pay someone to go over to East Timor and fit the unit so the girls can have some precious water again - on tap. Should Lauren go to Weberek soon, they will need more water so the pump will be a boon.

Let’s praise the Lord with Lucinda for this lovely touch from God’s people in Peak Hill and pray that the vehicle will arrive safely and be a blessing in the service of the East Timorese.
